Ever since the first Viking settlements, Icelanders have been drying meats as means of preservation. The Icelandic Lamb Stew is an old recipe that's unique in every Icelandic home and has been an essential part of our diet for centuries... an excellent clean source of protein. Feed the Viking was founded in 2016 by two best friends, bringing this traditional food into the 21st Century with freeze-drying techniques. Our Lamb Mountain Meal is truly a superfood that you can enjoy straight out of the bag after just 10 minutes after adding boiling water to it.
Just to add 300 ml (10 oz) of boiling water into the bag, stir it and close the bag, let it rest for 5-10 minutes, and enjoy.

I love to keep this on hand for those times i want something yummy and warm that is super quick and easy to make.
Why isn't this sold in the UK ?
Why has it taken me so long to find this !! Hooked on it now for all my backpacking trips.
We first experienced "Feed The Viking" lamb stew on Iceland Air, and one member of our family was obsessed. For that family member's birthday, we decided to order a couple of pouches. Little did we know these would actually come all the way from Iceland! The delivery was as quick as could be imagined, and the results were easy and delicious (and nutritious). Many thanks, Vikings!
I tried this out for an on the go travel food. Work travel has gotten more interesting to find yummy, quality food options with all the shutdowns, especially in LA. This is very easy, convenient in a hotel room and yummy! Also plenty filling for a light evening meal.
tasty! bit watery...maybe ‘stew’ in iceland means ‘soup’. ...or maybe i’ll need to leave it longer in pouch
